Creative Trends is Shutterstock’s annual breakthrough design report. It’s the company’s most prominent press piece, garnering widespread acclaim and pickup. Since the results are based on search data, this year held an unprecedented challenge– create a fun, interactive piece to inspire, after gathering less than optimistic results from an impossibly tough year, 2020. To turn things around we added new formatting, a “trend to watch,” and created an interactive social media presence with an upbeat, quick-witted tone. This way, we branded Creative Trends as the friendly way to get a first look ahead into the future.
